Who we are

LA DIMORA DI ANTOSA is an ancient residence from the 1500s, recently restored, and is located in the heart of the historic center, in an excellent position, at the entrance to the Sassi districts.

Thanks to its small terraces accessible from different areas of the house, you can admire all the wonders of the ancient city, from the old evocative Convent of Sant’Agostino, the enchanting Parco della Murgia characterized by ancient caves from the Neolithic era, to the splendid breathtaking view of the famous Sassi di Matera, dominated by their Cathedral.

The Dimora is based on a contemporary design, with the original characteristic barrel vault called "lamione", which has been restored to create refined and surprising environments, all to offer a pleasant and relaxing experience to our guests.

The apartment is ideal for a family or two couples of friends who want to spend time together in the spacious living room without giving up their own autonomy and privacy. The house is spread over two different levels, with the bedrooms located at the far end.

Feel at home, the house is equipped with all comforts.

Thanks to this strategic position for visiting Matera, you will not need a car. From here you can easily move around on foot to explore the beauties of the City of Stones.

In the immediate vicinity there are various characteristic restaurants, bakery, grocery stores, tobacco bars, free or paid parking, as well as facilities for tourist assistance (guided tours, organized tours, interpreters)
